National Iranian Ethnic Film Festival to make debut in Iran
TEHRAN- The inaugural edition of the National Ethnic Iranian Film Festival is set to take place in Tehran in May.
This cultural and art event will take place in the Iranian capital from May 15 to 19, IRNA quoted the secretary of the event as saying on Sunday.
Due to recent decisions, the festival venue has been relocated to Tehran in order to fully represent the diversity and cultural roots of Iran, Kamal Tabrizi said.
Tabrizi expressed optimism for the support and collaboration of local authorities and city officials in Tabriz for hosting the second edition of the festival in the picturesque city.
Highlighting the significance of creativity and innovation, Tabrizi underscored their intention to differentiate this festival from others by selecting the Iranology Foundation as the venue for its first edition, citing the beautiful architecture and serene atmosphere.
Noting May as the opportune time for the festival, Tabrizi emphasized the utilization of both indoor and outdoor spaces.
He further revealed that the Iranology Foundation, the festival organizer, aims to internationally expand the festival's reach by rotating its location to areas across Iran inhabited by various ethnic groups in the subsequent editions.
